Gross Findings in a Patient with a
Posterior Ventricular Septal Rupture.
There is an infarction involving the basal inferior septum, the basal
posteroinferior wall, and the right ventricle (RV). The ventricular
septal rupture (arrow) is complex, with an irregular, serpiginous tract
at the junction of the inferior wall and the interventricular septum
(IVS). LV denotes left ventricle.
